We are constantly bombarded with information about all the different sweeteners on the market and what to avoid if possible. One of the most high-profile culprits of late is High Fructose Corn Syrup. In the last few years, HFCS has developed such a bad reputation that the corn industry came out with a massive nationwide TV campaign to try and set the record straight and to tell their side of the story.
Let’s face it, highly processed foods, including sweeteners, in large quantities are a no-no, but I think it’s helpful to understand why…to understand exactly what are bodies do with different forms of sugar and what are the lesser of the evils if any.
